The ageing of generator components is largely related to the temperature load that occurs when the generator operates intermittently. Deterioration can also be due to insufficient or uneven cooling.

Cooling air flow through the generator is used to minimize generator damage due to high temperatures. However, the losses associated with air cooling make up a significant portion of the total generator losses.

Hydro Generator Cooling solution is a portable, high-efficiency evaporative air cooler that removes excess heat from generator enclosures. It features air-current circulation through the generator’s vents and exhausts to ensure it is cooled properly before the generator coolant reaches its temperature limit, reducing wear on all components.
