Adiabatic Cooling Towers For Cooling Tanks

The adiabatic cooling towers are usually divided into direct natural cooling and indirect natural cooling. Direct natural cooling means that outdoor air is directly used to cool indoor/equipment. This type of natural cooling is usually applied to outdoor data center cabinets with low heat load and places with low temperature and humidity requirements. It has little connection with the chilled water air-conditioning system, so it will not be repeated here.

Indirect natural cooling means that the water can be cooled to a certain extent by using a dry cooler, a cooling tower, or the natural cooling coil of the chiller with outdoor cold air so that the cold water can be cooled by the chilled water coil of the air-conditioning unit in the machine room.

A reasonable free cooling scheme is adopted according to different climatic regions. The annual energy consumption of the cooling system in the data center machine room can usually be saved by 10~50%, or even higher.
