Air Cooler For Hydro Turbine Units

& Free Shipping

To remove the heat generated by operation, turbine units may use air coolers. Hydroelectric power plants use the kinetic energy of flowing water to generate electricity. The heat generated during this conversion process must be dispersed to prevent the generator from overheating and malfunctioning.

Air coolers are able to cool hydro turbine units by directing airflow across the outside of the unit. This can be achieved by methods such as forced air cooling and natural convection. Both forced air cooling and natural convection can be used to cool generators, the former requiring the use of fans to blow air through the latter.

is able to design and produce turbine air coolers that meet regulatory standards. The interchangeable covers for our coolers are available in a wide range of materials.

The thermal requirements of each application vary and so do the coolers manufactured to meet these requirements.

Brass, 90-10 copper-nickel alloy, carbon steel and stainless steel are just some of the materials that can use for turbine air coolers. Tubes can also be made from copper, 90-10 copper-nickel, titanium, stainless steel and other metals.
