Finned tube evaporator

To be effective, the fins must be connected to a pipe to ensure good thermal conductivity throughout the evaporator’s life. In some designs, the fins are welded directly or welded directly to the tubing. In most designs, the aluminum fins slide at the ends of the tubing so they are aligned in the correct position. Once they are properly separated, there is a slightly larger die than the pipe diameter through the pipe. The mold expands the tube onto the flange of the fin to create a tight mechanical connection that allows the evaporator to have good heat transfer throughout its life.
